Winning a Craps Tournament

One way to make money playing craps is to enter one of the many tournaments offered by online UK casinos. These are a series of games played by any number of entrants that compete against each other until there is one winning player left. The player that is the “last man standing” wins the tournament collects a jackpot.

Some of these online casino tournaments are free, others cost a nominal fee (like $5 or $15) and still others can cost as much as $1000 to enter. It all depends on the number of entrants, the skill level of the tournament offered and the size of the jackpot. The fee you pay is commonly referred to as a buy-in.

Many online UK bingo casinos offer craps tournaments with a very low entry fee as part of their regular promotional activities. A tournament can last several hours or even several days depending on the number of entrants. Most online casino sites put a cap on the entrants so that a tournament can be played out in a couple of hours.

Sometimes the prize in these craps tournaments is the opportunity to play in a real casino and win big money. These types of prizes usually include air travel, gifts and an overnight stay in a hotel. In craps tournaments like this, the top two players from each round will advance to the next one, and there might be as many as ten prizewinners at the end of the tournament.

If there are a lot of people in a tournament you will be playing bingo online in rounds. If you win the first round you advance to the next one. Make sure you read the rules of the tournament before you play as they vary from site to site. For example, some online casinos will require you to have a pass or don’t-pass bet mandatory on every play.

Remember that each online tournament is different! The smaller online casinos will let purchase chips from the dealer. But once the prize money gets over $50, you are required to buy in before hand with a limited bankroll (usually $250 or $500.) If you lose this bankroll you are eliminated from the tournament.

The bets that you make playing in a tournament are a little different than playing in a regular craps game. You do not play against the house, but rather against the other players. The goal of playing in an online casino tournament is to have the most money by the end of a certain number of rolls (usually 100) or by the end of a limited amount of time (usually an hour.) This adds an interesting twist to the game because it means watching the bankrolls of the other players. You could still win with a low number of chips if the other players have even lower numbers in their bankroll! Usually an online casino site will display your opponent’s chips in full view so it is easy to keep track of this.  Sometimes winning a tournament boils down to being the player with the least losses over the long term.
